Abstract

918,235. Ammunition projectiles. RHEINMETALL G.m.b.H. Feb. 24, 1959 [Feb. 27, 1958], No. 6440/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 9 (1). In a projectile having a shaped charge, the cone-shaped hollow is fitted with a liner which offers small resistance to the explosion gases. In one embodiment, the liner is formed of concentric rings, spaced apart, to permit the blast to pass through the annular spaces between the rings. In further embodiments, the liner is formed of separate overlapping rings or of a single strip wound in a helix to form a cone.
