917,325. Stillages for handling gas bottles. KNAPSACK-GRIESHEIM A.G. March 10, 1961 [March 12, 1960], No. 8915/61. Classes 78 (3) and 78 (4). A stillage for supporting gas bottles includes a frame 1 (Fig. 1) adapted to be raised and lowered by means on a transporting vehicle. In the form shown, the stillage can straddle an elevating platform 17 (Fig. 2) supported by cranks 18 from a truck. The bottles are supported by platforms 9 carried by the lower limbs of L-shaped members 4 reinforced by struts 5, 19. Partitions 10 divide the bottles in pairs held in place by clamps 8. Flaps 11, held by latches 12 in position to retain the bottles, can be lowered to form ramps. The stillage is fitted with lifting eyes 3.
