Abstract
916,655. Transistor circuits. FERNSCH G.m.b.H. Oct. 27, 1960 [Oct. 27, 1959], No. 36867/60. Class 40(6). [Also in Group XXXVI] A switching circuit comprises a transistor and a rectifier connected in cascade and arranged so that both devices can be cut-off or rendered conductive at the same time by a voltage applied to the transistor. In Fig. 2, transistor T11 and rectifier D11 normally provide a conductive path between input terminal P111 and output terminal P117. This circuit is broken when switch SW111 is throw to the other position, biasing off transistor T11 and hence rectifier D11. This arrangement minimizes cross-talk in the cut-off condition. Fig. 3 shows a similar arrangement in which transistor T11 is connected in the common collector mode. Fig. 6 shows the invention applied to a cross-bar switching network in which any input circuit such as K1, K2 can be connected via the appropriate switching unit B11, B12, B21, B22 to any output line such as Z1, Z2 dependent on the setting of switches such as SW11. Each input line such as K1 is connected via a filter F1, and emitter follower EF1 to the input terminal of switching units such as B11, B12, isolating resistors such as R119 are connected between successive input terminals to prevent boosting of high frequencies. Fig. 4 (not shown), relates to an amplifier suitable for connecting to each of the output lines Z1 of Fig. 6.
