The lower part of a storage container comprises a funnel-shaped outlet 21 having an outwardly stepped annular portion 28 formed as a porous filter element through which gas is forced from a chamber 30 connected to a pressure supply 31. The funnel may be closed by a member 32 operated by a lever 33 which carries a switch 34 for controlling the gas pressure.
