Abstract
915,705. Skips and pallets for handling loads. STOCKHOLMS SUPERFOSFAT FABRIKS A.B. April 5, 1961 [April 5, 1960], No. 12283/61. Class 78 (4). A flexible container 1, Fig. 1, with pyramidal ends 2 and orifices 4 is supported for transit with its ends 2 collapsed flat in a supporting frame 5, Fig. 2, on a pallet 7. As described, the container may be made of resin-coated fabric. To discharge the load the frame 5 with the container is raised by a crane and the lower outlet 4 opened. Filling and emptying may be effected in an air-tight manner. In a second embodiment, Fig. 5, sheet-metal sides 12 replace the frame 5. Alternatively, the flexible ends 2 may be directly connected to the sides 12. The upper end may be replaced by a flat cover with a filler orifice. The frame 5 and the central part of the container may be cylindrical. The pallet may be hinged to one edge of the frame 5 or sides 12 or it may be divided into two halves. each half being hinged to an edge of the frame or sides 12. The frame may be collapsible.
