Abstract

A container unit for storing and transporting liquids or granular materials comprises a collapsible cylindrical container 2 suspended within a rectangular framework 1 by a sling 1, a support 6 and a detachable two-part end suspension ring 10 so that the container may be filled through a filler 9 with its axis 3 vertical, Fig. 5 (not shown), transported with its axis horizontal, Fig. 6 (not shown), and stored or emptied through an outlet 8 with its axis vertical, Fig. 7 (not shown). One or both ends 5 of the container are conical and the framework can be disassembled to collapse the same. The unit may be utilized to transport piece goods by folding the container against the upper wall of the framework, Fig. 4 (not shown).
