Abstract

1,071,600. Feeding material; load handling pallets. PIRELLI S.p.A. Oct. 8, 1964 [Oct. 8, 1963; Jan. 1, 1964], No. 41014/64. Headings B8H and B8S. For dispensing liquid, powdery or granular materials, the base of a collapsible container (1), Fig. 1, has a grating of fixed metal members 9, 10 fast with a skirt 8 and a second grating formed by movable members 11, 14 which cooperate with the members 9, 10 to close the base. The members 11 are fixed to transverse members 13 by vertical supports 12, but the member 14 is freely movable under the guidance of struts 15 which pass through holes 16 in the members 13. When the filled container is placed on the bars (18) of a support, Fig. 6, the bars engage the members 13 so that the movable members 14 and 11 are successively pushed up, thereby to dispense the container contents. The skirt 8 may have cut-away portions for fork lift, Fig. 2, and the upper end of the container is closed by a hinged lid (3). Handles (6) are provided on an annular end flange (2).
