Abstract

914,466. Air humidifiers. SCHIESSER, M. June 23, 1960 [June 27, 1959], No. 22020/60. Class 55 (2). In an apparatus for humidifying air the air is drawn downwardly into a casing housing a fan 3 and passed upwardly between the member 8 and the inner surface of a preferably zig-zagged or corrugated sheet of liquid-absorbent material 6 dipping in water and then downwardly over the outer surface of the sheet 6 to a peripheral outlet 12. The liquid absorbent material may be filter paper or porous synthetic plastic or ceramic material.
