A high-temperature alloy has the following composition by weight:- .C.0.8 - 1.25 .Cr.30 - 32 .W.12 - 14 .B.0.001- 0.02 .Ni.4 - 6 .Nb.2 - 5 .Zr.0.01 - 0.2 .Co.the balance Si up to 0.5, Mn up to 0.2 and Fe up to 2 may also be present A turbine blade made from the alloy may have Y, Cr, Al or Mg diffused into its surface.
