913,497. Hatch covers. MALMO FLYGINDUSTRI A.B., and KOCKUMS MEKANISKA VERKSTADS A.B. June 24, 1960 [June 24, 1959], No. 22208/60. Class 113. A hatch cover 2, preferably of glass fibre reinforced plastic is mounted on the coaming 1 at each side by a link 11 co-operating with pivots 12 and 13 so that the cover may be moved to the stowed position indicated by chaindotted lines, Fig. 1. The axis of the pivots 12 lies close to the centre of gravity of the cover. The cover is clamped in the closed position by eyebolts 7 and in the stowed position by an eyebolt 17. An extruded metal ring 3 reinforces the cover 2 around its periphery and also serves as a mounting for the packing ring 5.
