Abstract

912,751. Wet felts of paper-making machines. KENYON & SON Ltd., JAMES. April 21, 1961 [April 28, 1960], No. 14866/60. Class 96. A woven wet felt for a paper-, board-, or asbestos-cement making machine is made wholly from synthetic yarns of spun fibres or continuous filaments, e.g. of nylon, polyester, acrylic, or polyolefine fibres, the fabric being needled, e.g. a number of times on both sides alternately, during or after the usual finishing (other than nap raising). Bulked yarns may be used for warp and weft. An Example (1) mentions a broken crow-foot weave stitched with extra weft, the warp being two-fold, 1000 denier polyester filament yarn and the weft three-fold 840 denier. Specifications 801,439, 801,440, 801,441 and 905,958 are referred to.
