911,012. Furniture joints. VI-SPRING PRODUCTS Ltd., and BERRY, L. A. June 26, 1961 [June 24, 1960], No. 22245/60. Class 52 (2). [Also in Group XXV] A sleeve 13, having an external tapered wood screw and an internal screw-thread of the opposite hand, is used to secure a leg 11, having a metal stud 14, to the base frame 12 of a divan. An inserting tool may be operated from the underside of frame 12, to carry the sleeve into a counterbored part 17 of hole 16, and subsequently be disengaged from the internal screw-thread by reversing its direction of rotation.
