Abstract
910,017. Self - propelled rifle grenades. ANSTALT FUR DIE ENTWICKLUNG VON ERFINDUNGEN UND GEWERBLICHEN ANWENDUNGEN ENERGA. Oct. 28, 1960 [Nov. 25, 1959], No. 37202/60. Classes 9 (1) and 9 (2). A self-propulsion means for a rifle grenade comprises a combustion chamber 2 containing a propellent charge 3, a Venturi-nozzle 4 placed in the rear of the chamber and a tail tube 5. At the fore part of the nozzle are radial cavities 6 separated by partitions 7, the latter being cut-away as at 10 thereby forming shoulders on which the propellent charge rests and is centred within the chamber. The Venturinozzle 4 is rigidly held in position by having its peripheral rim 15 forced against a peripheral shoulder 14 of the chamber 2 by the screwing of tail 5 into the rear of the chamber.
