Abstract
909,301. Liquid meters; gas meters. PARKINSON COWAN Ltd. Oct. 22, 1959 [Nov. 20, 1958], No. 37430/58. Classes 54 and 69 (1). [Also in Group XXVI] A fluid meter has a measuring element 16 located inside a plastic casing 10 providing two internal cylindrical surfaces 32, 48 and inlet and outlet pipes 38, 54 each mounted to have a sliding fit within a respective one of the cylindrical surfaces 32, 48 and each provided with an O- ring 46, 62 acting as a packing to form a fluidtight seal between the pipe and the cylindrical surface. The 0-rings 46, 62 are housed in grooves defined by ribs 42, 44 and 58, 60 respectively. Specification 909,302 is referred to.
