908,673. Reciprocating pumps. STEWARTWARNER CORPORATION. March 31, 1959 [April 4, 1958], No. 10905/59. Class 102(1). A pump cylinder 4 is supported between end valve blocks 2, 3 the block 3 having two inlet valves 17, 19 communicating respectively with the lower pump space and with the upper pump space by means of a pipe 7. The upper block 2 has two outlet-valves 10, 11 similarly communicating with the upper, and via a pipe 6. the lower pump spaces and has a stuffing box 41 for the piston rod 39. The capacity of the pump can be altered by using different lengths of cylinder with corresponding lengths of pipes 6, 7.
