Abstract

908,314. Cleaning ships' decks &c. DIETLEIN, H. W. A. VON KOMM.-GES., [trading as STULCKEN SOHN, H. C.]. Jan. 11, 1961 [Jan. 13, 1960], No. 1246/61. Class 138 (1). A device for spraying cleaning liquid over a ship's deck comprises a housing 3 to which cleaning liquid is supplied under pressure from a pipe 5, and which has an outlet adapted to be sealed by a valve member 12 which in the closed position is flush with the surface of the deck 1. The valve is opened by the pressure of cleaning liquid acting against a spring 16 to discharge the liquid through passages l0a in a vaned sprayer member 9 rotatable on the valve rod 8 by the reaction of the discharged liquid jets. The outlet ends of the passages 10a are inclined at different angles to distribute the liquid over the deck surface in concentric circles.
