Abstract

1,206,792. Spray producers. SPERRY RAND CORP. 26 Sept., 1967 [22 Nov., 1966], No. 10910/70. Divided out of 1206791. Heading B2F. [Also in Division F1] A hand-held container 1, Fig. 2, for use in cleaning electric razor head components by jets of gas, contains under superatmospheric pressure a volatile liquid fungicide admixture with a volatile carrier liquid, and has a finger operable valve 7 with an inlet in the gas space above the surface of the liquid mixture 3 and an outlet connected to a narrow tube 16 projecting laterally from the container and discharging a concentrated jet of gas when the valve is opened. The valve 7 is of known kind and opened by depressing a button 14 against the action of a spring 11 (Fig. 3, not shown) to displace a port in the hollow valve stem from an annular rubber sealing member. The tube 16 is force fitted into or integral with the push button 14. A removable cap 17 protects the parts 14, 16 when the container is not in use. In an alternative embodiment the valve 31, Fig. 4 is actuated by depressing a push button 56 formed together with the gas discharge tube 32 as integral parts of a plastics cover 57 mounted over the sheet metal top 43 of the container 37. When the valve 31 is open the gas entering the valve from 'the space above the liquid mixture 36 aspirates a quantity of the mixture through a tube 33 thereby ensuring that the discharged gas has a desired proportion of less volatile constituent.
