Abstract
907,669. Tanks. SVENSKA B.P. OLJEAKTIEBOLAG. Oct. 7, 1960 [Oct. 8, 1959], No. 34509/60. Class 69 (1). A method of constructing a storage tank consists in building a container of concrete rings 2-2 on a concrete base 3, lowering an inner tank shell 5 into the container and filling the intervening space with cement mortar 8. The tank may be installed underground, emplacing the rings 2 by well-digging methods. The shell 5 is of sheet-metal construction and has a manhole 6-7. Anchor irons 15 and 16 extend from the concrete base 3 and cover 4 into the mortar 8. A tube 10 is provided for filling and a tube 12 for emptying the tank. A vent tube 13 connects with the top of the tank and an inspection tube 14 passes through its bottom.
