An annular U-section cap 5 for a reinforced concrete piling has tubular holders 6 on the inside of the connecting web of the cap to accommodate the ends of the vertical reinforcing members 3 and supports 8 at the inner surface of the outer wall of the cap to accommodate the horizontal reinforcing members 4 (e.g. in recesses 9 in the supports).
