Abstract

1,162,378. Concrete piles. LAU YAM WAN. Oct. 17, 1967 [Nov. 1, 1966], No.49000/66. Heading E1H. A hollow cylindrical concrete pile section 1 has a number of dowels 3 extending from one end and at least the same number of holes 4 extending into the other end, the depth of the holes being at least equal to the length of the dowels, the holes being intended in use of the pile section to receive the dowels of an adjacent coaxially disposed pile section, the inner surface of the pile section being provided at each end with a rebate 5 for receiving a sealing ring 6. The pile section may be prestressed and/or have a reinforcement 7.
