Abstract

1,173,280. Storage tanks. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 7 March, 1967 [25 Feb., 1966], No. 8364/66. Heading E1T. In a storage tank having a thermoplastic lining 18 and at least one internal, tension member 13 of corrodable material, such as steel, the latter is protected by a thermoplastic sleeve 20 sealed at each 'end to the lining as by means of a flanged tubular member 21 welded thereto. The tank may be made of sheet steel lined with thermoplastic material.
