Abstract

1,206,921. Load supporting float. DR-ING H.C.F. PORSCHE K.G. 7 Jan., 1969 [9 Feb., 1968], No. 881/69. Heading B7A. Floats 7, 7<SP>1</SP> supporting an armoured vehicle in water each comprise a flexible closed cover 8 and foam material 9 filling the cover before use, shape imparting rigid members 15, 16, 17, 18 inside the cover forming its shape when it is filled with foam. In the embodiment shown tension members 24, 25 provided with quick acting couplings are secured between each float and the vehicle. The components to separate the foam are stored in the vehicle in pressurized containers with the folded and collapsed covers.
