Abstract

A coating or moulding composition is produced by heating tall oil with a dibasic acid and a glycol to form an intermediate compound, adding an inhibitor to obtain a preproduct and immediately before use adding to the cooled preproduct, styrene, an accelerator, a catalyst and finally a filler. Specified materials are tall oil containing 4 to 29% of abietic acid, maleic acid or anhydride and phthalic anhydride, dipropylene and ethylene glycols, hydroquinone, cobalt naphthenate or octoate or aluminium chloride, hydrogen peroxide, and stone, meal, sawdust, wood splinters, glass fibres and optionally pigments.
