Abstract
905,995. Autographic registers. KONTEK SYSTEM A.B. Sept. 8, 1960 [Sept. 22, 1959], No. 31022/60. Class 16. Copying apparatus comprises a box-shaped housing 1 having a step-feed mechanism for feeding a blank holder 5 line by line towards the rear over the top surface of the housing, an envelope magazine 10 which is transversely displaceable and has a vertically adjustable bottom 11, and a control member 24 which energizes an electromagnet 15 and causes the holder 5 to advance one step over the base and the magazine to be pushed out partially beyond one side of the housing, Fig. 2, so that the inscribed envelope can be removed. Operation.-After a line has been filled in on the sheet in holder 5 mounted on a rail 6 and transferred to the uppermost envelope, member 24 is depressed to close spring contact 27 and energize the coil 15 which attracts a core 17 hinged to a lever 18. The lever 18 embraces a pin 20 attached to the magazine and as the lever swings the magazine 10 is pushed outwardly against the action of a spring 12. A catch 22 snaps down behind a projection 14 of the magazine in its extreme position to lock it and actuate a contact 28 to interrupt the current supply to the coil. A pawl 9 is mounted on a pillar on the magazine extension 14 and engages one of the teeth 7 on the rail 6 so that as the magazine is moved to the right the sheet in the holder 5 is advanced by one step. Pressure on the other end of member 24 releases the pawl 9, disengages the catch 22, and thus releases the magazine which is returned to the writing position by the spring 12. The plate 11 is then raised so that the envelopes are pressed upwards against the edge 13. If the electric supply fails the magazine may alternatively be pushed out manually by a rod 30.
