Abstract

905,455. Strain-taking devices for flexible leads. REFSHOLM, I. Dec. 23, 1959 [Nov. 12, 1959], No. 43752/59. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXV] A wire clamping nipple for screwing into an electrical component, e.g. an electric lampholder, comprises two insulating parts 1, 2, e.g. of nylon, that can be connected together by a bayonet-type fastening and have communicating holes 7, 15 for passage of a wire or cable 18, the holes at their adjoining ends being offset so that on connection of the parts 1, 2 the wire is clamped between their offset walls. As shown, part 2 has, on its base, diametral inwardly extending knobs which are entered into a groove 17 in part 1 by way of incisions 12, Fig. 3, and limit relative rotation of the parts to half a turn by engagement with abutments 11.
