Abstract

602,528. Two-part couplings strain-taking devices for flexible leads. KOLSTER BRANDES, Ltd., and CHAFFEY, L. G. Oct. 16, 1945, No. 27031. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXV] In a multi-pin plug comprising a base C and a cover A threaded externally thereon and apertured for the passage of leads, a washer B, through which the wires are also passed, is located between the cover and the base and is engaged by the base A<1> of the cover, when the latter is in place, so as to clamp the leads against a domed projection C<1> on the base. The latter may have ribs C<2> engaging grooves B<1> on the washer to prevent rotation thereof. The cover is moulded so as to provide a finger grip. In a modification, Fig. 1 (not shown), the cover and base are externally and internally threaded respectively.
