Abstract
902,782. Concrete building members. MARTINET, C. J. E. J. Jan. 20, 1961 [Jan. 20, 1960], No. 2431/61. Class 20 (4). A prefabricated concrete member in the form of a girder or slab includes a ceramic member 8, Fig. 1, disposed along a wall thereof, the wall and ceramic member including a mating recess and projection, for example, defined by corrugations 18, the configuration of the ceramic members being such that when two prefabricated members are positioned with the ceramic members juxtaposed, two spaces 11 and 13 are defined for the reception of concrete to bind the concrete members together, one space 11 being delimited by the ceramic members and the second space 13 being delimited by the ceramic members and the concrete members. Modified shapes of ceramic members are described with reference to Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 (not shown). One surface, or two surfaces as in Fig. 3, of the ceramic member are provided with cavities 25, 26 to receive the bonding concrete. A floor, Fig. 5 (not shown), may be constructed of slabs comprising the ceramic members on all four sides. The girder shown in Fig. 1 is of prestressed reinforced construction.
