901,764. Clocks and watches. FABRIQUES DES MONTRES ZENITH S.A. June 9, 1959 [April 10, 1959], No. 19665/59. Class 139. The balance maintaining circuit of an electric timepiece comprises coaxial pick-up and driving coils 8, 9 which co-operate with a permanent magnet 2 carried by the balance rim and which are connected respectively to the input and output of a transistor amplifier 10. As the magnet 2 moves between the coils 8, 9 its axis momentarily coincides with the common axis of the coils. The balance has a counterweight 3 and the gear train 7, 6 is driven by the pallet member 5. The transistor circuit may be temperature compensated.
