[Also in Group XXXI] Means for controlling an hydraulic jack 42 suitable for application to lift systems for agricultural implements on tractors comprises a valve member 11 actuated by a lever 13 connected to a follow-up lever 15 and controlling communication between a pressure supply passage 7 and a passage 17 leading to the jack, a check-valve 44 for maintaining the jack under pressure when the valve member 11 is closed, and an exhaust valve member 50 operated by a lever 48 when the valve member 11 is moved beyond its closed position and having a projection for forcibly opening the check-valve 44. A restricted passage 18 interconnects the passages 7, 17. A valve 24 is normally closed by admission of inlet pressure through a restricted passage 30 to a chamber 32 but opens to unload the pump 1 when the chamber is vented to a passage 30 by movement of the valve member 11 beyond its closed position. A plunger acted upon by the control lever 13 or by a separate lever may be provided whereby an operator is enabled to apply pressure to the valve 24 when open to increase the pressure applied to the jack to provide an " anti-skid " device. The increase of pressure so obtained may be limited by a stop for the lever. A relief valve 54 limits the maximum pressure in the system. Specification 897,779 is referred to.
