896,252. Induction meters. ARON METERS Ltd. May 23, 1958 [May 24, 1957], No. 16605/57. Class 37. A light load adjustment for a polyphase induction-type instrument comprises three vanes 5 of non-magnetic conductive material (e.g. brass copper or aluminium alloy) fixed to a rotatable plate 6, a vane extending between each pair of electromagnets 1, 2 and the rotor 3. Adjustment of plate 6 is made through knob 17, spindle 15 and sleeve 13, which varies the amount by which each vane 5 overlies the pole face of the appropriate current electromagnet 2 and so controls the driving force on rotor 3 at light loads.
