915,177. Electricity meters. COMPAGNIE DE CONSTRUCTION ELECTRIQUE. Nov. 21, 1960 [Dec. 4, 1959; Sept. 29, 1960], No. 39924/60. Class 37. In an induction-disc type electricity meter comprising two magnetic circuits disposed one on either side of the induction disc 8 (Fig. 3), one circuit 2 is M-shaped and carries a voltage coil 3, while the other is U-shaped and has a single current coil 6 disposed round the base limb, linking the two poles 5 of the U-shaped magnetic current circuit and surrounding a parallel faced additional gap 10 in the base limb. By displacing a magnetic member 11 (Fig. 3), in this gap, variation of driving torque may be obtained without modification in the phase of the current flux with respect to current for non- inductive loads. By displacing a non-magnetic conducting member 12 in the gap, phase shift of current flux with respect to current, without variation of the flux may be obtained so that adjustment for inductive loads may be made. Slight shunting of the voltage flux for adjustment with low loads is possible by displacing the magnetic member 18 pivotally attached to the magnetic member 9.
