Abstract
1401254 Induction energy meters LANDIS & GYR AG 5 Oct 1972 [11 Oct 1971] 46030/72 Heading G1U An overload magnetic shunt 4 between the poles 2, 3 of the current core in an induction meter includes narrow portions 8, 9 which become saturated on overload, whereupon the remaining portions 6, 7 of the shunt act as extensions of the main pole faces 10, 11. The shunt may be displaced towards the voltage core, as compared with the pole faces 10, 11, and is spaced from the poles 2, 3 by non-magnetic inserts. The area over which the shunt faces the poles 2, 3 may be increased by flanges (16, 25) Fig. 4 (not shown), or by bentover extensions (19) Fig. 5 (not shown), facing the sides of the poles.
