Abstract
895,856. Photographic copying cameras. DACQUAY, H. Nov. 20, 1958 [Dec. 6, 1957], No. 37335/58. Class 98(1). In a copying camera the diaphragm aperture adjustment is mechanically controlled by the relative displacements of the lens front and camera back or object carrier so that an increase in magnification is accompanied by an increase in diaphragm aperture. As shown, slide bar 9 has finger 11 engaging in channel guide 12 which is adjustably mounted on bench 1. As the objective carrier 3 is moved along the bench 1, the diaphragm aperture is altered by means of connecting rod 5. A slide (Fig. 3a, not shown), for inserting an apertured diaphragm plate into the lens mount 4 and simultaneously positioning a lamp in front of the lens is described. The plate aperture is smaller than the smallest adjustable aperture, and the lamp is used to give a preliminary printing exposure of a screen arranged in front of the photographic element. The duration of the exposure is varied by rod 17 adjusting clockwork timer 15 in response the movements of slide bar 9. If the back of the camera or object carrier are not fixed in relation to the bench, the guide 12 may be fixed to the movable member.
