[Also in Group XL(b)] In a photographic camera having adjusting means for the time of exposure and focus, the adjusting means for time of exposure and focus are coupled together and are adjustable in accordance with a subject scale by means of a common adjusting device. As shown (Fig. 1), a focusing ring 12, which is rotatably mounted on a fixed objective guide 5 and which effects focusing by means of a cam slot 11 engaged by a pin 7 in a non-rotatable but axially movable objective tube 8, and an adjusting ring 27, which controls in known manner the exposure time provided by a shutter mechanism 15, are coupled together by means of a ring 24 having projecting arms 25 and 26 and are adjustable through a common adjusting member 29 coupled to the ring 24 by means of a connecting pin 28. Coupled to the ring 27 is a further ring 30 bearing two cams, one of which 32 (Fig. 2) co-operates with a spring-urged lever 34 for indicating the subject setting on a scale 35, and the other of which 36 adjusts, by means of a rod 39 and a spring-urged adjusting lever 38, the angular position of the casing of an exposure meter galvanometer 21 according to the value of the exposure time set. When the shutter cocking lever 14 is released from its cocked position shown in Fig. 2 to run down in anti-clockwise direction, it is followed under loading of a spring 17 by a lug 13 of a diaphragm adjusting ring 41, the motion being terminated with the diaphragm aperture adjusted to the correct value, having regard to the ambient light conditions and the exposure time, by means of the engagement between a stepped cam member 18 coupled to the ring 41 and the pointer 20 of the galvanometer 21. The shutter 15 is secured to the camera front 1 by means of screws 23 and an objective support 2, to which the guide 5 is secured at 4, is likewise secured to the camera front by screws 3.
