Abstract

895,748. Filters. KEELAVITE CO. Ltd. Jan. 11, 1960 [Feb. 12, 1959], No. 4974/59. Class 46. [Also in Groups XXXV and XXXVII] A device which is sensitive to the pressure across a filter 20 to operate an indicator or control switch 32 when the filter is blocked comprises a spring-loaded magnetic armature 27 which moves when a magnet 26 is forced away from magnetic inserts 24, 25 in a wall 2 by a pressure sensitive bellows 7. The armature 27 is mounted on a lever 28 pivoted at 31, and when the magnetic circuit is broken by retraction of the magnet 26, it moves with snap-action under the action of spring 30 to operate the switch. Resetting may be automatic or by manual means 33. Magnetic material is excluded from the pressure side of the bellows by a magnetic filter 35.
