895,509. Securing knobs on shafts. UNITEDCARR FASTENER CORPORATION. June 30, 1959 [Aug. 15, 1958], No. 22473/59. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXV] A fastener device for assembly in an aperture 24 in a knob for securing the end of a shaft 12 thereto comprises a base 44 having an integral resilient U - shaped shaft engaging portion 62 and a knob-engaging portion 56 extending integrally from the base on each side of the U-shaped shaftengaging portion, each portion 56 having a free end 58 directed away from the base for engagement with the wall of the aperture in the knob. The portion 52 engages a flat on the shaft and the portion 56 lateral recesses 32 of the aperture 24.
