541,807. Snap fasteners. UNITED CARRFASTENER CORPORATION. June 7, 1940, No. 9968. [Class 44] An upholstery panel or like installation comprises a fastener having a V-portion applied to the marginal edge of the panel-so that the limbs 11, 14 grip opposite faces, the part 13 engages in a notch in the panel edge to prevent movement of the device along the edge, whilst tongues 15 struck up from the edges of limb 11 prevent outward movement. Limb 11 merges into integral depending limbs 17, 18, the latter being shouldered at 21 and having its free end 22 parallel and adjacent to limb 11. Limb 18 snaps into engagement with an edge on the support, the edge being received between parts 21, 22. Limbs 17, 18 are narrower than limbs 11, 14, and the free end 22 of limb 18 registers with and is received in an aperture 16 in limb 11 when limb 18 is distorted by engagement with the support.
