A device suitable for securing the lid of a luggage-case comprises an arc part to be secured on bar 13 on which is pivotally mounted at 24 a body 16, the body co-operating with a lug 21, integral with a bar 18, on the other part to be secured. When the body is turned clockwise to secure the parts, the lug 21 rides along a cam surface 37 of a groove 22 until a pin 44 on bar 13 springs behind a detent spring 46 situated in the groove. A lock may be fitted having a key operated bolt 56 (Fig. 4) which moves through an aperture 62 to engage a detent 57.
