Abstract

A method of reducing the tendency of particles of coal, brown coal, peat or like organic carbonaceous material to adhere together during mixing and/or grinding thereof includes the step of adding a diesel or fuel oil to the particulate material before and/or during the mixing and/or grinding of the material. The oil may be added in a quantity of from 0,1 to 1,5%, preferably between 0,3 to 0,6%, of the material.
