In a reservoir pad consisting of an absorbent pad or sponge 50 secured to a plate 2 closing off a reservoir container 1 a dispensing orifice 45 in the plate 2 is closed off until the pad is required for use by a flanged, elastic stopper 47 that is inserted in the orifice from the underside of the plate before the plate is secured to the container. The stopper is removed from the orifice into the container by downward pressure being exerted through the pad.
