Abstract

889,065. Zeroizing-mechanism. KIENZLE APPARATE G.m.b.H. Oct. 26, 1959 [Nov. 24, 1958], No. 36158/59. Class 106 (1). In a resettable counter in which the transfer pinions are disengaged for zeroizing, means are provided for yieldingly holding the transfer pinions in their rotational position, and further means are provided for orientating the pinions before or whilst they are yieldingly held. As described, a counter is zeroized by rotation of the numeral wheel shaft 1. Before this takes place, however, a cam-carrying shaft 14 is rotated clockwise. This results firstly in the pivoting by cams 17 of levers 10 pivoted on a fixed pivot 9, to bring a cut-away bar 12 mounted between the levers 10 into engagement with the transfer pinions 4 which are thereby yieldingly held against rotation. Cams 15 then rock levers 8, also pivoted at 9, to disengage the transfer pinions 4 from the numeral wheels. The pinions are brought into engagement with teeth 22 of a comb 21, the rounded ends 23 of the teeth 22 orienting the pinions 4 to their correct position by engagement with the customary cut-away portions of the transfer pinions.
