Abstract

886,668. Resilient mountings. HALLAM, SLEIGH & CHESTON Ltd. April 11, 1960 [April 10, 1959], No. 12115/59. Class 52(1) A vehicle seat is mounted on parallel links 6 by bars 5 at the upper end, the links being mounted on tubes 7 journalled in the blocks 8 on the base parts 9. A laminated torsion bar 10 is fixed at one end to a bush in the'tube 7 and is anchored at the other end to an end plate 12 fixed to the bearing block 8. Two torsion bars are provided one being anchored to the left side and the other being anchored to the right side of the frame. A rubber buffer 15 prevents the links 6 reaching a horizontal position.
