Abstract

545,841. Laminated springs. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and SADLER, S. Dec. 14, 1940, No. 17682 [Class 108 (iii)] The end of a laminated spring is connected to a vehicle frame by a rubber cushioning element 5 positioned between two metal members 1, 6, the member 1 being secured to the spring end 3 while the roller member 6 is clamped in position by bolts 7 in slots 8 in brackets 9 secured to the vehicle frame 12. The front clamping position is determined when the vehicle is normally loaded. The other end of the spring may be connected to the frame by a rubber bush.
