Abstract

885,000. Hose couplings. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. May 8, 1958 [June 26, 1957], No. 20091/57. Addition to 773,001. Class 99(1). An end fitting for a hose 1 having a reinforcing layer 2, comprises an insert 3 which fits within the bore of the hose, and has an axially-extending projection 9 which indents the inner resilient layer. A bared section 7 of the layer 2 is clamped between members 10, 12 which are urged together by a ringnut 15. The end portion 6 of the insert 3 may be either integral or detachably secured to the insert 3.
