883,371. Powder &c. distributers. WESTMACOTT, I. B. Aug. 30, 1960 [Oct. 30, 1959], No. 36862/59. Class 18. An apparatus for dis pensing granular materia such as chicken corn corn prises a container 1, a har ness 9 by which the con tainer may be carried on the operator's back, a dis charge tube 4 connected to an outlet in the base of the container by a flexible con nection 3, and a closure 5 a the outlet end of the tube 4 adapted to be opened and closed by means of a cable 6 and a lever 7 spaced fron the closure so as to b readily accessible. The base 2 of the container slopes down to the outlet and the carrying harness 9 is attached to the container 1 by means of webbing straps 8. The joint between the tubes 3 and 4 may be such as to allow adjustment of the effective length of the tube.
