Abstract

878,781. Projectile fuzes. VERWALTUNGSGESELLSCHAFT DER WERKZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. Sept. 9, 1958 [Sept. 30, 1957], No. 28897(58. Addition to 727,493. Class 9(1). An impact-operated fuze in which arming occurs when a fusible element has melted as in the parent Specification is provided with a protective layer of gold over the surface of the element. If the fusible element is made of an alloy containing cadmium, to prevent the growth of crystals, a layer of silver is applied before gilding.
