Abstract
878,593. Photographic cameras. GAUTHIER G.m.b.H., ALFRED. Nov. 9, 1959 [Feb. 11, 1959], No. 37840/59. Addition to 876,545. Class 98(1) In an improvement in or modification of a photographic camera as claimed in claim 1 of the parent Specification the exposure value setting member is limited in its travel relative to one of the other setting members by means of co-operating driving connections whereby when the one setting member is urged beyond its range of adjustment the driving connections establish a direct drive intermediate the exposure value setting member and the one setting member so that the other setting member is adjusted thereby. As shown and as described in detail in the abridgment for the parent Specification, an exposure value setting member (ring or slide) 1 is coupled to a diaphragm setting member 5 and an exposure time setting member 4 by means of a differential gear mechanism. The co-operating driving connections comprise a driver projection 25 on the exposure time setting member 4 and two stops 26, 27 on the exposure value setting member 1, the arrangement being such that when, during adjustment of member 1 to change the exposure value setting an index mark 12 carried by the member 4 reaches one of the limits of the diaphragm aperture scale 14, one of said stops engages with the projection 25 and the exposure time setting member 4 becomes directly driven by the member 1 instead of through said gear mechanism.
