876,291. Magnetic structures; magnets. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 16, 1957 [Sept. 19, 1956], No. 29080/57. Classes 35 and 38 (2). A sheet of magnetic material 10 is so magnetized that the direction of the magnetization along a distance inside the sheet varies, as shown by arrows 20, in such a way that N and S poles appear at the same side of the sheet and little or no magnetic flux leaves the other side of the sheet. The magnetization 20 may vary continuously or in steps of the sheet is made up of separate magnets, Fig. 5 (not shown).
