A tool for removing a split tie rod sleeve comprises a body 10 having an enlarged notch therein forming a fixed jaw 14, the body having a bore opening at one end on a surface of the notch opposite and in line with the fixed jaw, a movable jaw 18 slidably carried in the bore and adapted to clamp or release a sleeve element received in the notch, a screw 22 for moving the movable jaw to and from the clamped position, the movable jaw having a wedge-like projection. 19 thereon capable of entering a recess in the sleeve and handles 12 on the body for rotating it to forcibly rotate the sleeve.
