Abstract
875,367. Aerials. MEADOW-DALE MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Dec. 6, 1957 [Oct. 1, 1956], No. 29817/56. Class 40(7) [Also in Groups XXV and XXVIII] A directive aerial system comprises a single support tube 1 having parabolic curvature spaced along which are centrally mounted a plurality of parallel conductors 2 perpendicular to the plane containing the tube 1. A dipole aerial 14, 15, which may be supported as described in Specification 874,171 is mounted at the focus of the parabolic reflector so formed and extends parallel to the rods 2 and on both sides of the plane containing the support tube 1. End caps 7 are preferably provided for the tube 1 and the conductors 2 may be mounted in it as described in Specification 874,839 (Fig. 2, not shown). The aerial structure is carried by a mast 20 to the top of which is bolted a bracket 8 which is secured to the tube 1 at its mid-point and has an additional socket 10 for the tube 12. Tube 12 supports and positions the dipole.
